Celebrity Looks of the Day

Today's Celebrity Look of the Day is again an animal print :)  I bought these amazing Kelsi Dagger wedges on clearance for $20 at Marshalls and I found my Favorite Kardashian- Khloe in a very similiar pair.  Guarantee hers are AT LEAST 10 times more than these!

Today's celebrity look combines two trends on one item.  This is a great look for Fall and of course.....AFFORDABLE.  Tons of celebrities are rocking stripes and a new fall trend I have noticed a lot of stars are wearing are distressed sweaters.  Below we have Victoria Beckham in a similiar striped sweater and Audrina Patridge in a distressed sweater.  Both of these sweaters are extremely similar to Fabulyss' Distressed Diva.

For those that know me, you know that I am OBSESSED with animal print.  Yes I am one of those! Now my look is not as bold as the celebrities in this deal of the day however, its JUST as fab.  We have Katherine Heigl, Sophia Vergara, and Jessica Simpson rocking the animal print style.  I'm not sure how much their handbags cost them but I would bet my pup Prima Donnas life that its atleast 3 times more than ours.  Another perk- The fact that Fabulyss' bag is not as bold allows you to pair it with colors and other patterns instead of just black or solids.  Meow!

Finally Broke Down

I have been saving for so long trying to get things for Fabulyss.com and I finally broke down and got myself a new handbag.  I just love it and it was only $30 by MMS so I don't feel so bad.  Tassles and Chains can do me no wrong :)  Peep this sexy thang.

Deal of the Day

Good morning bellas! So---one of my most expensive items on my site ($49.99) is a gorge Imoshion Tan Embellished Handbag that I am having the hardest time not keeping for myself (whats new).  I found the designers ad for it, went to the website, and saw that its $100.

Granny Plaids?

Upcoming Fall looks are embracing granny plaids.  This could be good or bad.  Too much of plaid is a fail in my opinion but I would rock the mini skirt with some high socks and boots.  I hate the skirt on the left model though.  The fringe is too blanket like and the pattern is to kilt like.  Just TOO Much!

Learning as you go

My meeting with Cari, the owner of Moxie Boutique in Newark De, went amazing!  She is so nice and gave me so much information I never even thought to ask her.  After speaking to her about how much it takes to open a store, I realized I need to build Fabulyss online first and think store later.  $$$$$$$

Tonight I am meeting with Cari Woolf, the owner of Moxie Boutiquehttp://moxiede.com/default.aspx on University of Delaware's Main St. to discuss tips and ask questions on how to get my name out there.  She has similar brands that I would like to eventually carry and has a great background in fashion.  I am very excited and so thankful that she is taking time out fo her busy schedule for me (a complete stranger)!  I have a bunch of questions to ask her.  I will post how it goes afterwards :)

Introducing Alyssa Danese

Hey divas! I guess I'll start out with the basics first.  My name is Alyssa aka the owner/buyer/stylist of Fabulyss.  I live in Delaware and work as a loan counselor at a financial institution (SOOOO not what I am meant to do).  I have always wanted a career in fashion but never knew where to start.  I am a full-time professional deal finder and discount shopper.  I LOVE great deals and bragging about how much my find is worth compared to how much I bought it for.  I eventually realized through everyone's amazement that this is a talent of mine I have to share.  So....outside of my full time job I started saving all my fab fashion finds and not keeping them for myself (VERY HARD TO DO) in order to share them with you.  I am very blessed with great friends and loved ones that have helped me establish and build Fabulyss.com.  My goal is to start on the internet as an eboutique and eventually grow into a powerful, well known store front. Everyday I am learning new things that I want to implement on my site and I cannot wait to get everything how I want it to be.  So keep your eye out for Fabulyss because we are coming to take over all these over priced boutiques!

Where to start

Since I have 0 guidance with starting my own boutique I reached out to a young owner of a boutique on University of Delaware Campus that has been successful in the business for a few years.  She agreed to meet with me tomorrow!  I am so thankful and cannot wait to ask her all my questions and gain knowledge in the business.  Any help I will take to better Fabulyss!
